The Coconut Oil Solution to Dry and Itchy Scalp

Fellow Naturalistas!

We all know how embarrassing having an itchy or dry scalp can be as you have to pat or scratch your hair in public which can be very annoying .
There are several reasons why your scalp can turn out dry and itchy, the most famous of them all include dandruff, unhygienic hair, dry scalp, fungal, eczema, head lice and so many others. Stress and bad diet have also been known to cause itchy and dry scalp.

Scratching your scalp is no joke because some it can injure your scalp and cause infections, swelling more itching, redness and a whole host of other things. Therefore, getting your itchy scalp sorted out is of top priority because once ignored there might be tougher consequences like having your hair fall out and so on.
This DIY dry scalp treatment would definitely help since it's a natural home remedy and you are doing it in the comfort of your home.

There are several DIY home treatments but I am only going to talk about one remedy for now:

 COCONUT OIL HAIR TREATMENT.

Coconut oil serves as a good hair moisturizer  and it can help your hair grow, but that is not all the coconut oil does, coconut oil also helps to relieve an itchy and dry scalp. Coconut oil has several benefits as it is known to be a longer lasting hair moisturizer than many chemical induced moisturizing products around.

TUTORIAL

Step 1: wash your hair with Luke-warm water and make sure you dry it out properly either by blow drying or air drying.

Step 2:  Cover your entire head with coconut oil pouring 4-6 drops on your palms and rubbing it all over.

Step 3: Cover your hair with a bonnet and allow the oil relax into your scalp for about 30-40 minutes.

Step 4: Wash with a sulfate and paraben-free shampoo (I'll recommend Cantu Natural Haircare range , Beautiful Textures Taming Tangles range or Dark n Lovely Au Naturel range)

Step 5: pat your hair dry, add your leave-in condition  (I'll recommend Cantu Natural Haircare range , Beautiful Textures Taming Tangles range or Dark n Lovely Au Naturel range), comb and style as desired.

Perform this process at least 3 times a week until you are itch and dry scalp free.
