How to Use Coconut Milk to Grow Hair:
Coconut milk can be easily prepared if you have access to a fresh whole coconut. The dried version of the coconut is best to use, they can be found everywhere. The dried meat can be cut up thrown in the blender with a bit of distilled water, and then blended and strained for the milk.

If left to sit for more than an hour the cream of the coconut will rise to the top, you can add a tablespoon or so of cream to your hair butter for dry hair treatments. Be sure to keep the mixture refrigerated, as it is perishable and will last only a week or two.

You can also add coconut milk to Aloe Vera gel and massage it into the scalp to alleviate itching. Coconut milk or creme can also be used as an overnight pre-poo treatment. Allow it to dry and then cover hair with a plastic cap, and wash it out in the morning.

You can add coconut milk to your shampoos, conditioners or use by itself or with other natural ingredients as a deep conditioner.

Notes:
Coconut milk contains a significant amount of protein which is what helps to prevent hair breakage and helps hair grow. Adding a humectant to any preparation containing coconut milk is mandatory.  Try adding honey, agave nectar or vegetable glycerin or a few tablespoons of your favourite moisturizing conditioner to your DIY mixture if using coconut as a deep conditioner. Failure to add a humectant or moisturizer to a high protein treatment can make  your hair hard and brittle.

Use coconut milk as a hair and scalp treatment once very 2-3 weeks. If your hair is very thin, or you are losing a lot of hair, increase frequency of use to once per week. This natural treatment is totally safe, has no chemical dangers, and has no side effects. Coconut milk will nourish your scalp and encourage thicker more luxurious hair.

Would you try this treatment? I sure did and my hair is grateful! :-)
